AAUW Kona (www.aauwkona.org) stands for the American Association of University Women - Kona branch. The function of the web site is mostly as a brochure for prospective members and for supporters. Most of the news about member activities is distributed internally or in their newsletter.

The color scheme for the site were determined by the national colorscheme for AAUW. This site design is set up for easy of maintainability, so that if a nontechnical member ever wants to take over the site maintenance, she should be able to do so.

This design was also used as the basis for the web site of Port Townsend branch of AAUW, which Diane Allen and Artemis Computing did not create does not maintain - all we did is give the current web master, Lynne Bennett a copy of the source code. She did a fabulous job adapting the design for the Port Townsend branch's activities, and spent a lot of time developing the page content.
