What Does Artemis Computing Do?

Artemis Computing provides an array of custom web site services from which to chose. These services can be broadly categorized as web site creation, web site maintenance, and web site administration. Depending on the size of the project, and your preferences, we can work independently or as part of a team with your graphic artist or publicist or other specialist.

Administration usually includes work with the server, or physical host such as setup and periodic monitoring. Web site maintenance usually includes modifying an existing site to keep it up to date. Site creation can involve remodeling or redesigning an existing site, or we can develop a new web site from scratch. When building new sites, normally we like to create HTML template sets using CSS, with Dreamweaver™/Homesite™. We start with your existing marketing materials and develop them for the web, organizing information, scanning & manipulating graphics, and editing text, as needed.

Web sites created by Artemis Computing are effective and affordable. Our sites are fast and flexible in addition to attractive and engaging. Many beautiful professionally designed web sites take forever to load and are inflexible visually - you don't have to sacrifice usability to have a great web site.

Our service is customized... you can be as involved (or not) as you wish...

• if you haven't already done so, we can gather the 'contents' of your web site (product descriptions/specs., text, titles, illustrations, photos, and other information)
  
  
• we do our own scanning and image manipulation and some editing, and have close relationships with illustrators and writers if you need custom artwork and/or technical writing
  
  
• we define a plan -- we work together to organize the presentation of the contents and create an outline of what we want the site to look like before we actually start building it
  
  
• create a 'look and feel' (colors, presentation style, navigation) for your site - from scratch or from your product's packaging or organization's brochure
  
  
• create a page or two - refine the design as necessary
  
  
• once we have the contents in-hand, or at least most of it, we build the site. We build it on the internet to facilitate communication and give you as much opportunity to comment as you wish. Initially the budding site can start in some of our storage but will need to move to your own storage before long
  
  
• if you wish, we can assist with the technical and administrative aspects of having a web site, either by doing the setup or teaching you how to do it yourself
